This & That

We’ve been busily working on several projects to increase our marketing footprint lately in conjunction with the launch of the new website in September (we have the first skins of the new website back, great stuff!!).

TourismTV was a project initiated about three years ago, and then put on hold when the transition of leadership occured in the office.  Now back on the front-burner, we’re re-filming a few shots and should have the finished product by the end of August.  I’ve asked the film crew to splice the digital file into 2-3 minute segments so we can upload the best shots into Youtube and in our new website.  I’m most excited about our sunrise-sunset video we plan to take out in the hills.

24therd00728Coming this Tuesday, we’re kicking-off a new Chamber pilot-project called The Loup Valley Culinary Experience.  This effort will promote our area independently-owned destination dining establishments, their menus, the story behind their business and the people that make it work.  If it comes together like I hope it will, we’ll integrate this with our new website and social media efforts to expand the reach of our area businesses.  If the pilot is successful, we’ll expand the project into many other business sectors and do much the same there.  Ultimately, the plan is to improve overall awareness of the Ord area and convert customers walking through your business’ door.  The project will wrap up the end of August in conjunction with our new website.

All exciting efforts and look toward the blog and the *new* website the end of August.
