New Neighborhoods

One of the many projects we’re working on is our New Neighborhoods housing development.  KNLVradio.com has the details on the exciting effort:

Approval comes after a month wait on the pre-project contract submitted by Central Nebraska Housing Developers, the City of Ord, the Loup Valley Investment Club and Valley County Economic Development in the end of September. The housing project proposes twenty new housing units. Of the proposed twenty housing units, it is planned that two units will be low to-moderate income rentals, five units will be low-to-moderate income single-family homes, two units will be market rate rentals, and eleven units will be market rate single-family homes.

My favorite from the news release?  A commenter’s quote:

Great news for Ord. These new houses will increase the tax base and help lower property taxes including for the new school bond levy. It keeps looking brighter and brighter for Ord’s future. Gotta wear shades its so bright!

Bright indeed 🙂
