Below is a Notice of Public Meeting for a companion phase of the New Neighborhoods housing project in Rolling Hills.  That means super duper formal business mode.  If you have interest or would like to comment, please read the notice and give me a shout:

Notice of Required Public Meeting on Application

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on Tuesday, December 15, 2009, at 3:00 p.m. in the office of the Valley County Economic Development Board, 1514 K Street, Ord, Nebraska, Greater Loup Valley Activities, Inc. will hold a public meeting as applicable concerning an application to the Department of Economic Development for a Nebraska Affordable Housing Program Grant. This grant is available for local affordable housing activities.

Greater Loup Valley Activities, Inc. is requesting up to $419,475 for Rolling Hills Townhomes, a low income housing tax credit project that will benefit low and moderate income people.  Rolling Hills Townhomes will consist of six duplexes (12 units), all low income housing tax credit units for persons 55 years of age and older.  The housing project is located South of G Street and West of Highway 11 in Ord, Nebraska.  In addition to the $419,475 HOME Funds Deferred Loan requested from DED, approximately $1,269,206 will be invested by Midwest Housing Equity Group for purchase of low income housing tax credits upon award of the tax credits from the Nebraska Investment Finance Authority.  No displacement of persons will be required as a result of this project.

The grant application will be available for public inspection at the office of the Valley County Economic Development Board, 1514 K Street, Ord, Nebraska. All interested parties are invited to attend this public meeting at which time you will have an opportunity to be heard regarding the grant application. Written testimony will also be accepted at the public meeting scheduled for Tuesday, December 15, 2009, at 3:00 p.m., at 1514 K Street, Ord, Nebraska.  Written comments addressed to Caleb Pollard at 1514 K Street, Ord, NE 68862 will be accepted if received on or before Monday, December 14, 2009 at 5:00 p.m.
