Job Gains in Rural Nebraska

The Daily Yonder has an interesting read about rural job losses in America, with downloadable figures to see you how your community has fared.  In many part of Nebraska, we’ve been fortunate enough to experience job gains through this recession.

The same can’t be said for Valley County and Ord:  between 2007-2009 (the height of the recession), Ord experienced a total of THREE jobs lost, or -0.1%.

Yes, we haven’t seen the gains like they have in say, Bartlett, but a -.1% loss in the midst of this recession ain’t so bad.
